The next issue of Musea is my "History" issue. I take a look at a lot
of aspects of history. One thing I suggest in the issue is that we set
up a history wiki. It would be like the popular wikipedia that is
online now, but for history articles.
When I was thinking and writing about that, it dawned on me that
another great idea would be an ART wiki, a site dedicated to all
aspects of art. I couldn't cover that in my issue of Musea, but I can
talk about that side note here.
For those of you who don't know what wikipedia is, it is an online
encyclopedia that anyone can add to or edit. See wikipedia.org
Our art wiki would include articles on every major museum, church or
temple, art center, major work of art, sculpture, architecture etc.
It would also talk about music, literature, libraries, photos, and all
the rest of the art world, with biographies of major artists and art
movements.
I would suggest that both the HIstory and the Art wiki be outside the
control of any person, cor****ation, or nation; and be somehow a joint
world venture that encomp***** all the art of the world.
An Art Wiki would be an easy way to set up a world library of art.
What do you think?
