That's funny, because this poster, not being a regular
in the writing groups, has probably never read my
posts detailing the many ways in which Alan Hope
resembles Waldo Lydecker as played by Clifton
Webb in the film "Laura." Yet the poster has figured
out almost exactly the same thing about the Hopless
One: Alan DOES "reek of pettiness and biases,"--just
like his silver-screen twin, Waldo! (I personally would
change "leftist fraud" to "literary fraud," but, we all agree
he's hopeless.)
